    Quick straight foward car rental. You better off to book straight through their website and also some compare websites make you pay for cheaper insurance which is invalid with Goldcar. Car rental for a 5 day period was around €56 Additional insurance full cover €120 Non refundable and they charging €23 for refuel service Non refundable and there is a deposit of €70 for fuel if you refuel they refund it. We had a Renault Clio with only 7200 km in clock was very clean. Cant fault the service all over €40 a day fir Car rental isnt too bad.

    Firstly after collecting the car a week ago, I had to do the usual rounds of photographing the vehicle, checking for all damage (except 5cm marks). The damage was extensive including big dent on the bonnet, damaged rear bumper, several very large dents on the roof, like someone had jumped on it. And a big dent in the rear quarter panel (the latter being the ONLY damage recorded on the paperwork) and a damaged alloy wheel

    When booking a car with gold car there were certain things that was not clear at the time of booking ie the driver of the car must have a credit card because the driver did not have a credit or debit card after the car had been hired and paid 4 previous to collection he was unable to drive away with the car that had all ready been paid 4 the staff was not helpful at all he has ended up over £200 out of pocket and no hire car for his holiday not good

    Was just about to book with Goldcar until I read the reviews and then remembered our terrible experience we had a few years ago with them so thought better of it.

    So follows the trip back down to the desk to try and get this acknowledged, amongst the big queue of tired travellers.

    The time taken waiting at the desk was not good took over an hour to get a car check and get away, there was serious damage to the car that wasn't logged and damage logged that wasn't there resulting in a return to the desk to report, I also took photos to confirm, the car was supposed to be full but was between 3/4 and full which I also photographed, they need more staff at the desk and also staff to check and handover the cars very poor service

    Today, returning the car, the same operative that originally hired me the car (he pushed and insisted no less than four times for me to take out their insurance) was in the car park. I asked if he would sign the car off to which he obliged only to pick out a 5cm scuff on top of the mirror. I informed him that it was there on collection and that as it seemed to me less than 5cm I did not note it down on the paperwork with all the other damage....

    Being tired and needing to get checked in we went to the desk where he informed me it was 50 Euro for the scuff and 50 Euro per day the car was "off the road for repair"

    I will never ever use this company again, I will stick to the others operating from the same airport that have been great

    I know, you know, and THEY know, that this car will still have this 'scuff' together with all the other damage in years to come, so WHY CHARGE 50 EURO PER DAY TO 'REPAIR' A MINUTE SCUFF WHEN YOUR CARS BODYWORK WAS IN A POOR STATE TO START WITH

    I was that frustrated about not having a tape measure that I didn't think to take a picture with a Euro coin next to the scuff to dispute this fact.
